This week was a solid week. I saw my productivity and energy levels jump through the roof, and I maintained a solid training plan during the week. Winter has really come to town with some good snow this past week/weekend, and extreme cold moving into town this upcoming week. I have found that I really have missed this type of weather, crazy I know, but true. I had missed the hand-numbing, beard-whitening, eye-freezing cold. I had missed the simple process of putting one foot in front of the other, and the wintry, cold, snowy squeak of my feet pushing off of snowy roads and trails. This time of year is fantastic and I love to train in it, bring it on. Gaining traction…

I am gaining some momentum. I feel so solid and tough with my strength. My body is hard as a rock, and I am still light-weight: approx. 162 lbs. Great news. I know that my energy levels being back to normal (high) is a good sign that I am getting more sleep, and better sleep. I am drinking a moderate amount (for me) of coffee. My strength training was absolutely solid this week. My focused effort is more of a focused effort, certainly contributing to other areas of my life where I am also more focused, and more productive. I just need to keep plugging. This upcoming week will be a tough one again: as we are traveling to Steamboat for ski races. So, I need to make sure that I get a good enough early part of the week in. Monday – Wednesday will be the crux of the week. Thanks for reading. Stay tuned. DC
