Here are just a couple more pictures. Vasque not only makes good shoes; but they also use ’em in real life. A couple of these pics are of Vasque’s Product Design Guy: Brain Hall. He is actually the mad scientist behind the shoes; he designs ’em and tweaks ’em. He is brilliant. I was fortunate enough this summer to spend some good time with him at the training camp in June, and then this whole week in Leadville. Great guy. Great shoes. Great company: www.vasque.com . Part of Vasque’s vision with this team of athletes that they put together is to have the athletes involved in product design. I can assure you; Brian has sent out many samples of product; and then we test ’em; and then we pass along to Brian we we liked or did not like. I personally have sent Brian numerous e-mails, and spoken with him frequently about any issues I have found in the shoes. Brian has listened diligently to my complaints, and my praises. These are good shoes. This is a good company.
Brian completed his first 100 miler this weekend at Leadville. Way to go man! I ran in one of the latest designs from start to finish: The Vasque Transistor. Brian ran in both the Vasque Transistor, and the Vasque Mindbender. Great shoes that will both be released and available for the public in the Spring. Look for them! Great stuff.
