Howdy folks. Just a few pics for now. I will have the full post up shortly. Thanks for all the support. My crew and pacers were truly amazing; they just keep coming back year after year to watch me run myself into the ground. Pretty incredible. Without them, I do not finish, period. Thank you to them. Briefly: the race: Tim parr won with a time of 17:27. Nick Lewis from Memphis was 2nd in 17:44. I was 3rd in 18:27. Tony Krupicka had to drop out at mile 78 with severe cramping and pain. The rest of the field ran strong with a fast top 10. I think most of us in the race, and especially in the top 10 had stomach problems; salt; water, heat, etc. (The temps went north of 80 degrees). I need to figure out nutrition and salt and hydration better… no question there, still kind of feel like a rookie when it comes to a viable and effective nutrition and hydration and salt plan. I’ll get there. Anyway; great race. Great support. Also; a huge thank you to ‘Vasque’ footwear for making this happen; their support was invaluable. Take a look at their shoes at: www.vasque.com. Buy ’em and try ’em. More shortly. Thanks for reading. Congrats to all who finished and pushed their limits; that was not an easy race.
